Job Details

Business Analyst/Proposal Writer

Pacific Metrics is a growing educational assessment company specializing in online testing applications and educational content development. Our offices are located on Cannery Row in beautiful Monterey, California. We offer a congenial working environment with a full benefits package.

Job Overview
  • Anticipate and evaluate bidding opportunities and help design winning solutions
  • Coordinate activities related to proposals including communicating schedules and expectations, writing and refining text, strategically enhancing the bid, verifying quality and compliance of submissions
  • Assist in developing and analyzing costs and budgets
  • Assist with marketing and business development activities including articulating complex concepts and processes in writing, developing documents, presentations, and website content
  • Initiate and support strategic communications with potential customers and industry associates
  • Assist in identifying and implementing efficiencies in the proposal development process
  • Maintain and organize files, text, documents, and budgets related to business development activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing or closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the large-scale assessment environment
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in technical, grant, or proposal writing required. Writing samples are required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in business development, marketing or budgeting
  • Detail oriented, excellent writing, communication and coordination skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Strong analytical, financial, and budgeting skills
  • Experience in producing quality work within tight deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), with knowledge of styles and formatting.

Research Associate

Pacific Metrics is a cutting-edge educational assessment company specializing in online testing applications and psychometric software. We are looking for a person with quantitative skills to join a nationally recognized research team. This position is Monterey-based.

Job Overview
  • Develop proficiency with SAS in functional areas as required
  • Contribute to the company’s technological initiatives; prepare materials for client(s)
  • Participate in Research studies as assigned, including editing, graphics, etc.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance procedures
  • Develop item image content in XML for online content management system
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in science or quantitative social/behavioral field with preparation in computer science
  • Some experience with SAS, and database query languages preferred
  • Some experience within large-scale assessment industry preferred
  • Proficiency with MS-Office suite
