Pacific Metrics Sponsoring Industry Conferences
MONTEREY, CALIF., March 22, 2011—Pacific Metrics Corporation, a leading provider of online assessment solutions, announces its sponsorship for two national educational conferences in April: the annual meeting for the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) and the annual meeting for the American Educational Research Association (AERA), both taking place in New Orleans.
The annual meeting of the National Council on Measurement in Education (www.ncme.org) will be held from April 7 to 11 and brings together professionals in the area of educational measurement. For the past 20 years, the organization’s members have been working together on the construction and use of various types of assessments including standardized tests and performance-based assessments in accordance with their mission “to advance the science and practice of measurement in education.”
The annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association (www.aera.net) will be held from April 8 to 12 and its theme is Inciting the Social Imagination: Education Research for the Public Good. The AERA is a professional organization that has more than 25,000 members who are working to advance educational research.

In addition, Pacific Metrics staff will be attending the Council of Chief State School Officers’ (CCSSO) National Conference on Student Assessment from June 19 to 22 in Orlando. Pacific Metrics will also be participating in the International Society for Technology in Education conference from June 26 to 29 in Philadelphia.
