Pacific Metrics Welcomes CSU Professor Emeritus John Ittelson to its Board of Directors
MONTEREY, CA, March 30, 2010—Pacific Metrics Corporation, a leading provider of online assessment solutions, today announced the appointment of California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Professor Emeritus John Ittelson to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Ittelson has more than 30 years of experience in the education industry, bridging both K–12 and higher education and serving in leadership and founding roles on numerous education-related boards, committees, and professional activities. He currently serves as Director of Instructional Technologies for the K–20 California Educational Technology Collaborative (K20CETC), a consortium focused on helping students prepare for college. He has been active in teacher education programs, including the CSU system-wide CalStateTEACH program, which allows intern teachers to acquire multiple subject teaching credentials. Dr. Ittelson has also represented the CSU Chancellors Office in the development of electronic portfolio initiatives for student learning and assessment purposes, and he has served as Chair of the Application Coordination Committee (ACC) for the California High Speed Network for K–12 schools. He currently serves as an Adobe Educational Leader; an Apple Distinguished Educator; and board member of the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC), a non-profit organization that helps schools leverage technology to improve educational outcomes.
